Parga is situated in the northwestern corner of Greece, next to Sivota, Perdika, and Igoumenitsa and opposite the island of Paxos, south of Corfu. It is 38 km from the port of Igoumenitsa, 70 km from the airport of Aktion Preveza, and about 110 km from Ioannina via Egnatia Odos. There are a number of ways to get to Parga, depending on the means by which you choose to travel.
By plane
There are daily flights from Athens to the airports of Aktion and Corfu. During the summer months many charter airlines from all over Europe fly to both airports.
By car
Thanks to the Egnatia Odos, the distance from Thessaloniki has been reduced significantly. For those in north Greece entering the Egnatia and after passing the city of Ioannina and bypass Paramythia, continue to Igoumenitsa, carefully turn to the exit Vasiliko – Carteri and when reaching Carteri turn left towards Parga – Preveza, following the signs.
By bus
Access to Parga is possible by bus on a daily basis from Preveza and Igoumenitsa, and during summer months from Ioannina. There is also daily bus service from Athens (Kifisos Station), and from Thessaloniki (Macedonia Station).
